COOKIE POLICY – extended information

With the first access to the Site, the user will be informed of the use of cookies and of this policy which must be accepted in order to continue browsing. Acceptance of this cookie policy and navigation on the Site without deactivating cookies implies that the user authorizes the use of this type of cookie. This policy will always be available on the Site.

Below, information is given about “cookies”, what type of cookies are used, how you can disable them and how to disable third party cookies.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that sites you visit send to your device (smartphone, computer, tablet) where they are stored and then transmitted to the same sites the next time you visit in order to improve the access experience.

The cookies can also be from sites or web servers other than the one where you are browsing (so-called “third party” cookies) in the presence of links (including through images or sounds) to web pages of other domains.

According to their characteristics and use, cookies can be divided into different categories: technical, profiling, own, third party.

Which cookies does Hiku s.r.l. use?

Technical cookies (for which consent is not required):

Session or navigation cookies that allow access to the services available for each type of user and to load any customizations of the interface and functionality of the site.

Analytics cookies (used directly by the operator of the site and / or app to collect information, analytical, anonymous and aggregate, on how users use the sites and monitor its performance).

Functional or personalization cookies (cookies that are used to recognize and remember preferences and allow access to a version of the site that is based on certain predefined criteria such as the language used).

Web Beacons: These are small images, also known as “pixel tags” or “transparent GIFs,” that the owner may include on its site, services, apps, messages and tools. They typically work with cookies to identify users and their activities.

Analytics cookies: the Site uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service that uses cookies to analyze how users use the Site. The information generated by these cookies will be transmitted to Google and stored on Google’s servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Site, compiling reports on Site activity and providing other services relating to Site activity. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will anonymize your IP address and will not associate it with any other data held by Google. For more information, please see the following link https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245. The user can selectively disable the action of Google Analytics by installing the opt-out component provided by Google on their browser: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Third party profiling cookies

Through the navigation of the Site, the user may receive third party cookies, including profiling cookies. These are cookies used to track the user’s navigation on the network and create profiles in order to send promotional messages in line with the preferences expressed previously by the user. Social Plugin: these are cookies installed by social buttons (Facebook, Twitter, etc. …). Their use is optional. When the user uses one of the plugins just mentioned, through the pressure of the button-icon of reference, the Site will get in touch, through the user’s browser, with the servers where the social sharing services mentioned are managed, communicating them the data that the user intends to publish and share through his social profile (of which the user remains the only responsible) and informing them (the servers) of the pages that the user has visited. Please note that in order to exclude this possibility, the user must avoid sharing content using the buttons of the plugins listed above. For further details about the use and collection of data through social plugins and to know how the data collected and transmitted are treated (and for which purposes), we kindly ask the user to consult the privacy and legal information issued by the owners of the services in question.

Duration of cookies

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until you close your browser or issue a logout command. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. Browsing through the pages of the Site, you may interact with sites managed by third parties who may create or modify persistent and profiling cookies.

Management of cookies

The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies by using the settings of their browser. The total or partial disabling of cookies may compromise the use of the Site’s functionalities, but not prevent navigation. The setting can be defined specifically for different sites and web applications. Below are the web resources that illustrate how to proceed for each of the main browsers: Chrome (https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647?hl=it), Firefox (https://support.mozilla.org/it/kb/Gestione%20dei%20cookie), Internet Explorer (https://support.microsoft.com/it-it/windows/eliminare-e-gestire-i-cookie-168dab11-0753-043d-7c16-ede5947fc64d), Opera (https://help.opera.com/en/latest/web-preferences/#cookies), Safari (https://support.apple.com/it-it/HT201265).
